LBP has a nice melody but was the ''hip-hop'' (read ''crap'') beat necessary? SMB for me.



edit: Ok, I spoke too soon, the beat becomes more interesting after about 30 seconds. Still SMB for me though (can't beet the classics).

I think the exact thing can be said for those who pick the SMB theme. Letting nostalgia and what Mario (Not the theme) did for the gaming industry cloud your judgement.



I don't think anyone who picks either is wrong as music is very subjective. But you're little rant makes you look biased.
Between those two, LBP's song owns. But [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0R6FnpqylE]this[/url] song kills both of them, and kicks them both in the nuts just because it can. :P
The Super Mario theme (the old 8-bit version). But I wonder which I would choose had I not heard either of them before. It's easy for me to choose Mario since the theme has been around since the dawn of time (not to say that it isn't catchy).
You're kidding me, right!? :lol: It's going to be extremely hard to choose a song with much noise clutter and repetitiveness not to mention has no memory association as of yet (Little Big Planet) over a song that doesn't repeat itself over and over for three minutes, is simple, and chances are, a part of their childhood or at least their gaming experience (Mario Bros.).
I love LBP and its easily my most Hyped game in a long time and the tune is nice, but hte SMB theme is legendary and nothing will ever beat it, the nostalgia attached to that tune is epic.
Dang, the LBP theme is horrible. It just kept on going and going and repeating.
