what game do you think has the more stunning look after the beginning of the game? for those who don't know what i'm talking about, you know how in the first 30 min of oblivion ur stuck in that dark dungeon fighting people, when suddenly you get out and its like ''woah!!!'' cuz u suddenly see rivers, trees, grass, the sky, and the whole world just opens up to you? and in fallout 3, for those of you who have seen the PAX video, you are in the vault and suddenly u get out and u see the whole wasteland and its breathtaking again. watch the first 40 sec if u don't kno what i'm talking about: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39282.html?type=flv
so which game do you think has a more stunning effect when you beat the intro of the game? oblivion or fallout 3?
i think fallout 3 made me ''WOAH'' more than oblivionfallout 3 vs oblivion: beginning ''w ...
Depends, so many games nowasdays are so bleak and grey, Oblivion was bright and vibrant and truly a masterpiece of this generation, despite what the morrowwind fanboys say.fallout 3 vs oblivion: beginning ''w ...
Honestly they both look a bit fugly. Oblivion wins for having the prettiest, emptiest world ever.
Fallout 3. Being immersed in a world where the ''last'' of mankind is locked in an underground vault with no one ever seeing the outside world after what happened. No one is allowed to exit the vault. With that in mind, finally stepping out and seeing what no one else has seen, that my friend will be breathtaking.
the reason why i think fallout 3 made more of an impression on me when i saw the video was because in oblivion, it is breathtaking to finally leave that dungeon, but in fallout 3 the landscape is so much bigger, u standing on top of a cliff looking at the HUGE wasteland, with the capitol building and the washington monument in the distance. the reason why it has a bigger effect on me is because i live near DC so it's really surprising to see it as desolate as in the game

Oblivion wowed us all at first, but then we realise it was all a copy-paste job

Coming out of the oblivion's dungeon to see such a fantastic looking environment was awe-inspiring.Too bad the rest of the game couldn't hold up.I still can't believe i'm using like 30 mods for that game...there's just so many flaws in it.
I think Fallout 3 gave me more of the WOAH effect because you see such a huge wasteland as in where oblivion all you see is a dock and ruins behind it and some trees... but oblivion was such a fantastic game and i think fallout 3 is going to be dissapointing to me because the game doesnt seem to engaging becasue i didnt like Bioshock or Mass Effect and that was because they had guns. I am hoping that just because of these guns that the gAme wont be bad, it looks good but,...i just dont know.

Oblivion wowed me at first until I realized it was dramatically overrated. Repeating the same crap with Fallout 3 isn't gonna help my opinion of it.
Oblivion was like the first game that I said to myself ''wow this is next gen''. But I do anticipate getting that same ''wow'' affect with Fallout 3. It'll be awesome.
the biggest ''wow'' efect was when i turned of my ps3 and walked out side to see the real world
Neither of them have me wowed at all. It's an open world action adventure game, so it's totally expected that you'll be stepping out into a big open world.I sure hope Fallout 3's world isn't as bland and pathetic as Oblivion's was, though...
Oblivion wins by default, since Fallout isn't even out yet.

I could understand someone liking this game just by only playing the campaign and sparignly doing some side quests, but anyone who spends more than their fair share of time playing this game, knows it's one of the most overrated games this generation has yielded.
Oblivion. It had the best graphics I had ever seen when I first got it.
Oblivion wins by default, since Fallout isn't even out yet.
This makes no sense, sinvce you can watch the leaving the vault part of fallout 3. Unless the area drastically changes(this close to launch i dont think so), then you can easily compare them.
To me fallout 3 has a better one, you see more landscape and the crazy super bloom to low bloom is a nice touch as your eyes get adjusted to the sun again.
Oblivion. I remember when I got out of the sewer and looked at this huge world, with the best graphics I had ever seen in a game before. It was incredible.
