who has better community support: Valve ...

I think its widly accepted by now that these 2 developers have by far the best community support. Both support their games for many many years down the road, and both do it for free. But who is better?Valve on one hand.....-releases expansion packs worth of content updates for free (see TF2)-has very strong mod support, very frequently works together with modders. - often provides feature updates for older games when they are introduced into newer games (something, at least to my understanding, blizzard never did with battle.net)Blizzard on the other hand....- Balances games via patches to near perfection (Starcraft)- Has a very strong, yet simple, map and script editor for all their games- releases patches for 10 year old games (a starcraft patch was released a few days ago)Right now, I personally have to go with Valve, who I think have improved their community support a lot recently with TF2...but on the other hand, Blizzard hasnt released a non-MMO in some time, and I predict that community support will be a huge focus for them in Starcraft 2, and Diablo 3. who has better community support: Valve ...
Valve is better at giving users more content...Blizzard is better at patches and expanding the game world....hard choice...Valve..i like TF2 extra weapons alot... who has better community support: Valve ...
That's tough, because they are both great, but I say Valve, with Steam. Also, Blizzard does have incentive to improve WOW, as it does have that pesky monthly MMO fee.

Vavle is pretty stellar, they updated DOD:S to the new Source engine, it costed us. NOTHING. Now we have stats, and achievments for DOD:S.Valvue gives out a **** load of extra content for TF2, they made a few maps for CS:S, Steam is also great.Amazing mods for HL2, Steam showcases some of them.Vavle ftw.
Valve. They release new content for games while releasing new games.
I don't know which one ''is better'' but I do know that Blizzard likes to support their games no matter how old they are. :) If I remember correctly, a patch for Diablo 2 came out recently that allows you to play without the disc. Diablo 2 came out in 2000.
I love valve to death, Left 4 Dead will be bought day one, but Blizzard win this, I played WoW for almost 2 years and it really is impressive to see how good their are taking care of stuff, and just generally leading. Blizzard is of the highest quality, just abit over valve imo.

Valve has STEAM. No contest.
Valve has STEAM. No contest.
but Blizzard has Battle.net...which is outdated now, but back in the day (and when Starcraft 2 will be released) it was simply the best online system out their.
DOTA>TF2
Valve Imo...all of what I was gonna say has been said.
Bungie.
Bungie.
to even classify for ''best community support'' you have to release free DLC all the time...IMO.

Bungie.
to even classify for ''best community support'' you have to release free DLC all the time...IMO.
Agreed.

Bungie.
to even classify for ''best community support'' you have to release free DLC all the time...IMO.
Then why is blizzard up there :? With halo 3 Bungie created a seamless support system so fans of the games can voice there opinion and share there forge levels, pictures and videos with everyone. Blizzard comes in second IMO seeing as I played the crap out of starcraft ad battlenet wasa great community builder.
ValveI don't think there's a developer out there that ''gets'' their fans more than Valve.
