the wii has low standards???? no wai!

straight from this.''So we review games against the standards of their respective platforms by implicitly comparing them to other games on that same platform and, to a lesser extent, to other games in that genre.''evidence straight from gamespot, that, indeed, the wii has low standards, as does the pc have higher standards.my opinion is that this is true to an extent. no amount of argument on standards, graphics, etc. will change the fact that super mario galaxy is one of the highest rated games of all time, and won gamespot's GOTY in 2007. in some cases, it doesn't matter whether the wii has low standards or not, nintendo can still make extremely excellent games for it.but, mainly due to graphics/techincal processing capability/online, i do believe that wii games are not up to speed with the real next gen systems, 360/ps3.for example, if a game like brawl were released on the 360, it would be torn to the ground for the online issues, mind numbigly boring single player, and extreme similarity to previous iterations.but, because of the standards of the wii, 9.5 away!so, thoughts on this? the wii has low standards???? no wai!
they mean graphically. :the wii has low standards???? no wai!
|the wii really hasnt even proven it can have a competent online component for a fighting game when the 360 has so the brawl review makes sense
its so wrong to compare and rate games on THERE system?i mean would you rewiew super mario bros 3 for the NES (lets say it was recently releced on the virtual console) and compare it to the standerds of crysis? :?
actually the only thing it would be torn upfor would be it's online. Something like a single player mode has nothing to do with platform standards.As for the ''too similar to it's predecessors''...same could be said for Halo 3, DMC4, Ninja gaiden 2, Soul calibur 4 etc.
....hardware-wise.

I don't know why people make such a fuss about Wii being under powered or why they think PS3/360 is so superior. I look at games on the 360 and see tons of graphical flaws, bad animations, unnatural and stupid behavior etc. We still have a very long way to go before games look and ACT real with human-like tendencies. Even the best of the best PC titles have a long way to go to produce realism. Enjoy games you like but stop acting like some are that much better than others because they are not, and wont be realistic and totally fluid for a long time to come.
@Bigboi500 i agree
The Wii doesn't have low standards. I took it to a bar once and it refused this drunk girl. Refused her. Wasn't good enough for it. Just not good enough...

Yes it does, bad hardware, limited 1st party software and crappy 3rd party software
Its a fighting game... you should be happy they didn't throw in some ridiculous story about some madman trying to take over the world but trather than using his arsenal of tanks and planes, he's going to hold a 12 man fighting tournament for the fate of mankind.
