Who really wants another system in 2011- ...

I mean think about it 360 came out 2005, ps3 and wii in 2006, it's already 2008 time has flown so fast and before we know it 2011-2012 will be here, i mean we start hearing things now but think about, we allow these companies to rip us off for minor upgrades, though this gens jump was nice, how much further can we go before we start buying systems for minor technical improvements. i invested at at least $1000 in this gen, i own both a ps3 and 360 systems, but common i want this investment to last till at least 2013-2014, i think 360 is begining to reach its peak and i dont think ps3 has scratched it's pinnacle, but if these devs learn the systems inside and out think about all the amazing games they can produce this gen, then starting to worry about next gen.Who really wants another system in 2011- ...
2011/2012 would be in line with the average console lifespan (~5 years), so I don't see a problem. And with so many changes and issues this gen (price, reliability, motion-sensing) I'd love to see what Sony, MS and Nintendo can come up with for their next-gen systems. Who really wants another system in 2011- ...
2011-2012 is fine by me. Who doesnt enjoy the build up to a consoles new release.
I dont know about the rest of SW but..im tired of rebuying consoles over and over again..even if this gen is supposed to last 10 years..ill probably never buy another console again..sure you do with Graphics cards..but for some reason it feels different than rebuying EVERYTHING you just did in a few days..its like building a house only to have a tornado wash it away.. Hears to the PS3, 360, and WII..my last gen of consoles..
As inevitable as it may be, I would not like a new gen of consoles to come yet. I'm still enthralled by this gen and would like to see more, and maybe that will happen in the next couple years leading up to 2011. But I might do something different by the time next gen comes. As much as I will want to play the new games, I might just build a PC and go from there. Who knows...

Look, 2011-2012 would mean 360 supporters are LUCKY considering that would put the system at 6-7 years of life, way too many for an unreliable system with so many issues if you ask me. I say 2010 will see the next Xbox, 2011 will see a PS4 if Sony decides to continue on and a new Wii. Although I think the PS3 has enough power to compete with the next Xbox and Wii, and the fact you can easily upgrade your HDD for cheap even adds to it's longetivity. But a new Wii and Xbox will be welcomed by me, personally. Both companies' systems have major issues. Wii's graphical capabilities and 360's limited storage space on their DVD's and high console failure rates.
Bring it on!

I got a HIGH paying job i'll buy it all.
2014 is the earliest I would want a new console.
only the ps3 princess's dont want new consoles to come in 2010-12 because their console hasnt released its full potential yet HAHA!
2014 is the earliest I would want a new console.
For me its 2012. It feels like this generation is going by so fast. Too fast.

2012 please, no earlier no later.
360 owners would want a new one around 2010-2011PS3 owners= 2013-2014 (but sony would throw something earlier is M$ makes a move)Wii owner= 2009
2013 or 2014... But I probably won't care by that time since I'll most likely become a PC gamer :D
2010-2011. People who just got their consoles like to pretend this gen is brand new, when in reality we're already about three years into it. Then they whine because they ''just got mah consolez! '' and don't wanna buy another one so quickly. Saying 2012 is ridiculous. 7 years between 360 and it's successor? Come on.
I would like a new xbox by the christmas of 2010, I think it would be a perfect time, I want a new ps3 somewhere along 2012, I have a good job and I dont have any problems spending 400-500$ every 5 years for a system.
new xbox in 2012 seems perfect, 7 years is a good life no need to try and push a console 10 years like sony by then the hardware is dated like a mofo

I do. Both the 360 and PS3 are going to be heavily outdated in comparison to the PC in a couple years and the difference will be very noticeable. With all these new-fangled graphics, hardware upgrades for consoles are going to have to come more often if they want to keep advancing, this isn't like the old days anymore where a set of hardware does you good for 6 or 7 years.

If anything, it should be in 2010 for the 360, five years seems to be the lifespan of the Xbox and one that works well.
