I've never thought of getting one, but I loved the PS2, and now it is becoming more and more appealing too me...Is it worth getting a PS3 if I already h ...
I'd have to say no. (from my personal experience with the console -- owned one, didn't get a lot of my playing time due to I own a gaming PC and a Xbox 360, and then it eventually broke on me due to Sony's constant updating)In conclusion, you couldn't go wrong with a gaming PC -- Save up for a PC.Edit:If you interested in Blu-Ray though, give it a shot -- however, I'm sure you could find a $250 Blu-Ray player in Best Buy if you wanted one, it's just that the added bonus of a PS3 is the games, even though it's been lacking recently. I hope you don't always let other people make decisions for you. Just get it if you want one. It's a great console.
If you want stuff for it, of course it's worth it.
your choice in the end but i would advise you to because of the exclusives coming out soon and the features that it comes with. but it ultimately depends on your choice and defintiely your budget.
For one, budjet is no issue, primarily because my birthday is coming up right before christmas, so I can get the console for my b-day, and games and accessories for chiristmas.
I have all 3 consoles and have to say PS3 in my fav.I started with 360 but when my 3rd died I decided MS could suck me nuts and got a PS3 and I havent looked back since.Better graphics, the pad is better for most games except maybe FPS but PS3 supports Keyboard and mouse on alot of games so that matters little, online might not have as many features but is totally lag free for me as opposed to the ''I can count the frames a second on 1 finger''that xbox live delivers,at a price of course.360 might have better games ATM but Ps3 is gaining ground and alot of multiplatform games are now looking better on PS3 as opposed to 360 like it was at PS3's launch. When ps3 dies they bring you a refurbished console to your door as opposed to boxing up your console and wait 2-6 months for it to be fixed like 360(a friend of mine has been waiting nearly 8 months for his 360 to be fixed)I can browse the web even if it is in a limited fashion on PS3 as opposed to jack all on 36.PS3 can run for days without overheating as opposed to 2 hours on 360 And that why I believe PS3 is better
I'd have to say no.Save up for a PC.
I say yes, there's just so many reason's pt forth in so many threads.I currently use my 360 the MOST, my PS3 secondly, and my Wii is very underplayed. That's how it breaks down, in all honesty.
I'd say yes, why? well, I guess you know most of these things, reliability, Blu-ray, and games, since you're a gamer you know that Sony releases its games only on its hand-made console, in our case the PS3. So if you're interested in them get it if not and you don't want a cheap blu-ray player then don't. Let me state some great games that are out or we'll be out in the future to put you in the picture:
R2, KZ2, Motorstorm2, Infamous, GT5, GoW3, LBP, Socom, Uncharted, FFXIII VS, Heavy Rain, R%26C, The Agency, MGS4. Those are some great games in my opinion but you know there are others. And as someone said, you make the choice not us 'cause its your money.
It's always worth it. No matter what you own, it's always worth it to buy the 1 console you don't have. Unless you completely despise it or just don't have enough money. So yes.
i havent used my Ps3 in a long time, i have all 3 consoles though.Tbh after a short while you probably wont use it and it will only be good as a bluray player, im thinking of selling my 60gb version since it still fetches about ?00 on ebay with a few games.Im more of a pc guy though.. so maybe its just me
I would say no...So far the only AA+ games you would be missing is MGS4 and MLB the Show 08If you have a PS2 the only AA+ game you are missing for this year is MGS4That is it in the last 9 months 2 games
no, its an expensive console and 99% of games are multiplats
umm no
you aren't really missing out on many exclusives for the PS3. alot of them are multiplats so just get them on your 360. if you could get a good deal on one for a PS3 then get it. i only got one because EBgames had a great deal on one(trade in 8 old games and get $200 off a 40GB PS3). Either wait for a price drop, or a really good deal.
I personally don't think so, at least not right now. Of course, it all depends on personal taste, and if there are games that you feel you absolutely must own on it, but considering how many games are shared between 360 and PS3, I think it would probably be best to at the very least, wait until later in this gen in order to get the PS3, when there are more games out, and the price might have lowered. I personally don't own a PS3 for that very reason, just too many multi-plat games, although I am considering getting one later on, after the gen is over.I would suggest just doing research into the games, and determine whether your interested in the games enough to buy one now or not based on that. And keep in mind that you can always get one later even if you don't think it's worth it now.
It really just depends if you like these PS3 exclusives for this year. Also if you like watching high def movies, like I do, it might be worth it. I believe if you have a 360 and Wii now and you're not really interested in the upcoming games for this year, you might as well wait until the middle of next year to get one. By then prices might even get lower. The 360 and Wii console combo is the sweet spot.
I would say yes.But really it depends how much you like the look of the Ps3 exclusives, your wallet contents, if you want Blu-Ray etc.

Yes, for quality exclusives, such as Final Fantasy XII, Devil May Cry 4, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and so on!No, but really, I would say yes, as it upscales DVD's, plays PS2 and PS1 games (mines does, anyways), Plays Blu-Ray, Plays CD's, charges your iPod, goes online, and has some pretty good games like Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Sword, Resistance (though, I hate it), Metal Gear Solid 4, and it's getting a lot of killer exclusives such as Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, inFamous, White Knight Chronicles, Valkyria Chronicles (I think this one's exclusive), God of War III, Gran Turismo 5, Heavy Rain, etc. I would also prefer to get a few multi-plat games on the PS3 instead of the 36, such as FFXIII, Prince of Persia, Silent Hill 5 (and so on)
