Motorstorm 2 Demo Hands On Impressions

Soooo I got a chance to download and play the Motorstorm 2 demo today and the word I would use to sum up my feelings for the game/demo would be....meh.I thought the enviroment looked amazing, too bad the vehicles looked the same as the first Motorstorm:?, and so did the damage modeling which was a bummer.Personally I hate the new camera, far to low and close and oddly enough the controls didn't feel as tight as they did in the original . I don't know how to explain it, maybe it's just an older build of the game but as of right now the first Motorstorm just played better, it just ''felt'' better. Wow PS3 owners just might have a flop on their hands very soon.PS I'll also like to add even though I wasn't too impressed with Motorstorm 2, I can easily say I had a much better time with it then I did Pure. Its better than everyone else waits for the motorstorm on steroids..FUEL...
I never knew why Cows were hyping this sequel, first one wasn't good and this one wasn't looking much better.
Yeah, I was very unimpressed. The graphics are decent, but the game felt almost identical, which is upsetting for me. I'll be getting Pure over this.

I just don't think it'll live up to the AA hype that it's recieving...I can see a solid 7.5, and honestly it won't get anything less then a 7.0 because...

1. Original Motorstorm scored a 7.9, and all it does is improve on that by adding...
2. 4 player split screen offline
3. 16 player online
4. 16 maps
5. Slightly better visuals

It just feels like it's gonna be a been there done that type of feeling for past Motorstorm players.

[/QUOTE]Trust me my friend I have sniffed out tons of flops in the past, choosing my side would be wise...also I hope everyone knows when I say ''FLOP'' that I don't see the game scoring in the AA zone that's all.

Lame. I was looking forward to playing it for the splitscreen, but if it's just going to be a carbon copy of the original, I think I'll pass. I mean, it might be pretty good... but just not $60 good.
i played the first one...and i didnt like it, but hell im very biased when it comes to racing games
I on the other hand felt the demo was good and can't wait for the retail version. Maybe you should give it a few more trys before you cast this gem away. I also liked what I saw from the pure demo as well but to me MS2 will be of better value in the end. MS had good support after the game shipped Pure is a wild card still who knows if they will support it at all?

Anyone watch Invisible Walls? There's a Pure v. Motorstorm segment in the latest show.They were basically saying Pure may seem more fun initially, but Motorstorm PR will last you longer. I can see that actually happening, since MS is the game with more variety.
I didn't like the first one much and don't look like much will change. Keep in mind I don't like arcade racers so others might enjoy it. GT5 please save me from this type of racing game :cry:
i loved the first Motorstorm, therefore if they keep the same formula + the new additions (more tracks, split screen) that is enough for me... Motorstorm2 is shaping up nicely and there is still time to fix the few minor problems till its release...

It is in dutch and sounds like a freakin disney character lolthere was no way to change it either for some reason and I downloaded it from the US marketplace too lol
