LittleBigPlanet fills up Blu-ray disc

Well...How long until there will be a 2 blu-ray disc game? LittleBigPlanet fills up Blu-ray disc
40Gb out of 50Gb isn't exactly filling it up. Also, the devs know they had that space to work with and don't worry about file size, if they surpassed the 50Gb, they could easily bring it down to fit on one disc.LittleBigPlanet fills up Blu-ray disc
Well, they filled it up with the most useless thing; speech. ''Let's all listen to the narrator in true, uncompressed, 7.1 sound!'' Seems like a waste to me. I could understand music or ambient sounds ... but this doesn't mean anything.

I don't think a person would be happy installing a game thats 40GB even if they have a 500GB HD.
Well...How long until there will be a 2 blu-ray disc game?
I would say within 2-4 years from now.
I know the answer is out there somewhere but anyone know if you can custom the soundtrack for a level you make? like putting Rage on a level where the sackboy looks like Bush?''*bleep* you I wont do what you tell me.....''
Well...How long until there will be a 2 blu-ray disc game?
Well, the Devs know they don't have to cut corners, like DVD rom devs. Some of it may just be stuff we don't need. I don't think we will see 2 Blu's this generation. I think if it comes to it, they will do what DVDrom devs, and cut here and snip there to make it fit. Also, DLC is an option.Furthermore, not many games use DUAL LAYERED Blu-Ray's, not to mention they are working on even more layers out of Blu-Ray.
yeah also they found out that they can layer it to have 2x that amount or more.

They could've easily just made it compressed stereo (2.1) and it wouldn't make much of a difference. Honestly, it's someone just guiding you through a tutorial -- how life-like does it have to be? If that's what's significantly taking up that 40 GB, then the actual game should only be a fraction of that.
uncompressed audio, textures and redundant data.uncharted which was a 8 hour game with no coop, splitscreen or online was 22 gb. please stop with this blu ray is needed bull crap. anyone with basic knowledge of computer hardware knows that sony pr is feeding you all bs and you keep eating it like good little sheep.
Well LBP did not need to use that much space but MGS 4 did need to use all of the space.

If it's filled up, I'm hoping there's a crap load of stuff in there to use as creation tools, and that we won't have to be nickled and dime later to buy add-ons.
Compress the audio, and I'm sure it would fit in a DVD.

The TC created a post with the LBP artcile as an argument/basis, then, posed the question of a 2-disc Blu-Ray game in the future. If everyone weren't so fanboyish, you'll see that you can just compress the audio if it happens to start leaking over that 50 GB limit (SL).
