When was this released? :?Wheres all the Disgaea 3 love??
No time for niche games in SW!
Aug. 26th 2008Its going to be great!
Buying, haven't played a single entry of the series, but looks awsome. I saw Disgea 2 in the store today, and I thought about getting it.
If I had a ps3 I'd get it, sadly I'm not getting a system for 1 game.
yeah I have the first two on ps2 and then the PSP entry. I love em all. They're a lot of fun and the stats on your characters are crazy.
It's an RPG. That's all I need to know about it to hate it.
the second sequel to one of the best SRPGs is coming out within a couple of days and I don't see anyone talking about it.I'm very excited for the game. How about you?
my fav are RPGs are FFVIII, Disgaea and Persona 3.
Persona 4 comes out by the end of the year. Looks really good.
This is for Super Nintendo right?
Day one buy for me, but it's such a niche game I doubt it will score higher than 7.0 on gamespot. They will likley bash the 2d graphics to death, because it's obviously horid to have 2d graphics nowdays.
This is for Super Nintendo right?
No, its for Ps3.The Snes is no longer being supported by developers nor fabricated.
In seriousness, I'm quite okay with 2d sprites, but at resolutions that low you wonder if Nippon Ichi WANTED this game to look dated.
You'd think they could at least try 3D ...
I am picking this game up for my PS3 : It'd be a nice change of pace to actually get your hands on a hardcore jRPG that reverts back to isometric combat in comparison to the oversaturation of 3D shooters that plague this generation of HD gaming.Besides, the PS3 severely lacks jRPGs, and Disgaea 3 is no mere one at that.
if you've played any SRPG the usually look the same graphical wise. I won't be playing this game because of the graphics. I'll be playing because I like it and its fun.
I hope the next instalment of the series has updated sprites, I feel they got caught midstream developing for the PS2 but decided the PS3 would have more oomph to keep the action smooth. with the specs on machines today there could be one hell of a awesome 2D sprites, but full 2D sprites can be rather expensive to create even sometimes moreso than a insanly detailed 3D model.
I'll give it a try. It looks pretty interesting. FFX did make me weary of JRPG's, but alot of the time, you have to take a chance to find good, unique games.
