all consoles are a fad you use them for 5 years in then you upgrade to something better

Totally in my opinion, it's a device that I truly hate all that it stands, and the games are dumb but it wont stop selling.

Every console eventually stops selling (well not completely I mean people still buy old consoles off Ebay and stuff like that) so I guess by your logic every console-nah every thing not required to live is a fad.
Some fads take a few years to die out, so we'll see.
