Omg lmfao. The first round was at Genji. Remember the massive damage joke in Viva Pinata? They didn't stop there. In this demo, they go and shove their fingers at all the complaints about their new game. I'd post in the other thread, but this needs attention all on its own. This is what the loading screen says:Have you been playing for awhile but still don't like the vehicle-based gameplay? Maybe you need to buy Banjo-Kazooie on Xbox Live Arcade instead.Rare show no mercy. In your face whiners ...
I like a developer who isn't afraid to slang off. Like Eric Wolpaw - he was just 'some guy who worked on Portal' until he made that ''all plays are 100% pure crap'' comment. Or Itagaki. He's a dick, but an awesome dick.Rare show no mercy. In your face whiners ...

Oh and people ragged on Fallout fans. At least Banjo is still in the same genre.
I did not really care for this game before I watched the video and now it looks even worst.
To an extent, I actually sympathize with Rare. It's their game, and they seem really happy with the direction their going. They've given fans a chance to accept the change in their type of game, but some fans are adamant they want the old Banjo with better graphics.Because they've given up on trying to convince them, they're basically saying a big ''**** you'', probably coz they know they got a winner on their hands.
People arent complaining just because they miss the old fashion platforming, the preview has been complaining that the game focusus, TOO much on driving and the driving mechanics are frustrating at time making the gameplay annoying. Not to mention the fact they say its repetitive.

I never played it myself, but watching it being played it all looked the same to me.
I am going to hold my tounge on the game until it comes out, but I found the first two very enjoyable, and very memorable. For all we know the focus on vehicles could be exellent, who knows. I can say that it looks - that being the art style - fantastic. However Rare has really dropped the ball to me, in places. Still cant get over PD:Z, though I do know Kameo was decent and Viva Pinata is good.
I personally think this game looks awesome, and that's coming from an old Banjo fan, it's going to be a first day buy for me.
Why so defensive? No need to insult those of us who think that this direction the BK franchise is taking is wrong.Hopefully we're proven wrong, and this ends up an amazing game. I'll be the first to admit it if that happens (and play the hell out of the game). But no video or preview I've seen so far has made me change my mind.
I'll still reserve judgement on it. Swimming controls in one of those videos looked awkward and if a new vehicle blueprint is needed for every challenge I can see that becoming tiresome.

I think u will understand some of the fans issue with this game after youve played the originals.
Not really. The fan's gripes with the game stemmed from the fact that it had vehicles as a main component. This was before the talk about the vehicles not handling well. It was the exact same as the Fallout crisis. Two franchises switching up the formula. As long as the gameplay is good in its own right, I'm absolutely fine with that.

After what, 10 years of waiting, they finally get a new Banjo and what does Rare get for it? A bunch of hate from so called ''Banjo fans''?Hardcore gamers hate every chance they get. Why even hate on video games? They are simply entertainment, if you have it you have it, if you dont, your life will not change... Hurricanne Gustav's eye hit landfall directly over my city (Houma, LA) and we were out of power and without contact with the world for over a week and a half. We were then simply trying to survive with what we have, military setting up checkpoints for us to pick up free Apaks (MRE's) and so forth. And i BET all you guys were still on this gaming forum crying over video games not having a care in the world. Thats really sad.
game looks like crap anyway, also I like how console guys bash fallout fans for doing the same thing they are doing right now, goes to show you huh?
i noticed that too
Somebody actually played the game before the press conference  and that girl looks cute.As for the game demo, it was interesting actually, I might be getting this game after all.

I think they completely lost their horror feel with RE4 and that seems to continue with RE5, the gameplay is insane but the story is changing the mood of the game, the atmosphere is different.

There's a difference between hating and doubting the direction a specific franchise is taking. I don't lose a moment's sleep about this, I don't really care that much. I just say that I'd like for this game to follow the footsteps of its predecessors, both amazing games in its own right. ''If they were really fans of the originals, they wouldnt be hating on the third installment.'' Why? If a game is good its sequels have to be automatically good, too? There is a big change between Banjo Tooie and Nuts and Bolts, and one has every right to be skeptical about it.Lastly, no one is ''hating'' on video games. Okay, maybe some people out there do hate on video games, but don't generalise and say that everyone that doubts N%26B hates on video games. And while I have sympathy for your hurricane story, it serves no purpose here.Lets all just chill and after the game comes out see who was right (hopefully the non-doubters).
