R2 vs Geow2

First of all id like to introduce myself, i am new to the forums and you may be seeing me more often around here cause it sorat looks like fun xD. Yes this is my first post but id like to direct attention to a little matter i have been seeing around the interwebs alot lately. R2 vs Geow2.First of all id like to point out that this is a ridiculous comparison. lets break down the comparisonGears of War is being made by Epic. What is epic known for? Shooters. Naturally this means that they have more experience working on shooters because of all the work they did with Unreal Tournament. That means the employees there know what makes a good shooter work.Insomniac Games is known for Ratchet and Clank. This is a platformer with some amazingly awesome gadgets that isnt really similar to a fps ****gameplay. Ratchet and Clank is very different from an FPS like Resistance. This is why i think Resistance cant compete with gears. Sure Insomniac is a very strong dev no question BUT theyve been making platformers for years now so obviously they cant compete with Epic in the shooter department.Dont get me wrong here. I think resistance is going to be a great game, Insomniac has NEVER made a bad game. I agree that the game will be awesome and they really learned from R1 which should make R2 alot better. I think its a little overboard to call it better then gears in terms of Reviews. It could happen but is it likely? Not really =/.I think both Xbox owners and Playstation owners should be REALLLLLY excitied because what this DOES mean for everyone is that there are 2 awesome games coming this fall for both consoles that everyone should be excitied about.R2 vs Geow2

yes resistance is one of my favourite games im just trying to say that in terms of overall reviews gears has the upperhand
Resistance 2 looks and sounds better and much, MUCH bigger. But I shall have both games. BOTH!
gears will be much better. i found r1 to be another run of the mill fps. forgot about it in a week
R2i dont think GOW2 will be much different than the 2nd oneplus the 60 player onlineon R2

GeOW2 for me. But I will own both because they look awesome.
Gears 2Found Resistance to be pretty meh, but had a blast with Gears 1 coop so ....
These games aren't out yet, so we do not know which will be better. If I had to guess I would say Gears of War 2 will be better. Gears of War was a AAA game. Resistance was an AA game. Neither of the games are out yet, but going just by their predecessors Gears has a better chance to be better.

Both for me. I like both games and I hold them in the same place in my book.

Resistance 2 looks better than gears 2 :lol: ?[/QUOTE] I'm in the Resistance 2 private beta going on right now. Now I haven't played Gears2, I'm positive Gears2 will kick ass, but I'll say this... That was a very naive statement. Resistance 2 ain't no joke.
They both look great, but resitance 2 has so many modes and stuff to do.
Gears of war 2 obviously, resistance was mediocre FPS that only scored AA because it was a PS3 launch title. If I want to play a FPS i'll play the highest rated FPS on consoles Halo3.
R2. Geow wasny too great IMO so I don't care about 2
I am buying both, but looking forward to playing Resistance more than Gears. Gears 2 is not much different from Gears 1. However R2 is gonna be much better than the first Resistance in terms of graphics, gameplay, scope, online and it even has 2 campaigns! R2 FTW!
