- If you feel this board is going down the tubes, offer your own suggestions of how it could be 'revitalized', what topics or debates could give it a new energy. What would you get rid of? What could be added? etc.
- If you feel this board is great as is, what attributes do you find keep it so great? What if added or taken away wouldn't make it so great? Give reasons to quiet those who would rather see a change in direction.
- If you're one of those who feel it's too late for a change, that nothing would benefit the ongoing discussions of this board; and that it could never get back to the state of 'Debating Granduer' you believe it once was. Well be sure to give your feedback.
If this thread gains any traction might be worth giving it some time as a sticky.we'll see how it goes :) What about System Wars? [Poll Added]
How often do posters get to talk about the board itself as a whole? What could or couldn't be improved; or if it's better off left unchanged. That's the purpose of this thread, to give posters a chance to 'discuss' their opinions on the current state of this board.

We really really need a lvl or maybe even post cap for creating new topics. Far too many times people who flout the rules and ban dodge can simply create a new account and carry on as if nothing happens. All it does it clutter up the board and better topics get shoved father down the board. I think and hope its something that the majority of posters here can agree on.
A daily thread making limit and a level 5 cap to post in here.
Here's what I think. All we need to do is lighten up, and I think the best way to start would be to allow a bit of thread-jacking. If a thread is really going nowhere, and a tangent leads to interesting, if slightly off-topic discussion, then let it be. It would especially help in times like this, where there's very little to talk about.
This is a tough call because it's difficult to quantify where SW is different now from what it's been in the past. The place seems to take itself a bit too seriously now than I have ever seen it and tbo it's just not as fun, informative, entertaining or make me laugh anywhere near what it did a couple of years ago.The only solution I can see is to ban all the cows, or maybe have a BBQ and grill them with some garlic and butter.

I agree with the level cap. That would stop most alts.
I say level 1 posters are not allowed to make a topic.
I think that System Wars is good as is now.System Wars is a place where sometimes an issue is debated seriously, sometimes we just can laugh at fanboy threads. However, there's a more serious war behind what can seem a stupid quarrel between fanboys. There's room to wise people with technical knowledge that like to discuss over consoles and there's also room to the more relaxed threads, so it's fine, I think. Oh, and unlike the buddy above, I don't think one needs to have a certain level to post, since there's a lot of noob respectable people, like there's unpleasant people with higher levels.
I say level 1 posters are not allowed to make a topic.
Try to stick with things that wouldn't need technical support or site policy changes to implement. :)Stuff like that just isn't going to happen anytime soon.
I'm mixed with those 'level 1' suggestions, because we were all level 1 posters at the start. This board to my understanding is designed for strongly figurative 'jabbing' or 'praising'' at a particular console or the pc/mac.How is it assured one can determine if a thread made by a low level poster falls into the theme of the board or if it's deliberate ''fight-picking?''
I think some of the mods should lighten up and stop being so strict. People can get modded for the most silliest, pointless things. And as the person above said, the occassional thread-jacking should be allowed if things are a little slow.

A post count requirement, rather than level requirement, would be more appropriate in this case.
I'm mixed with those 'level 1' suggestions, because we were all level 1 posters at the start.
Oh, and unlike the buddy above, I don't think one needs to have a certain level to post, since there's a lot of noob respectable people, like there's unpleasant people with higher levels.
yeah I guess you're right. There was a guy a few weeks ago he made his very first post here on SW. He posted a topic about the pros and cons about all three consoles. I aplaud him for having a very unbiased opinion on all three and he stated some facts as well.
Try to stick with things that wouldn't need technical support or site policy changes to implement. :) Stuff like that just isn't going to happen anytime soon.
Well I guess some obvious fanboy threads like ''This system is better than the other and here's why!'' but has nothing but opinion not facts to back it up should be allowed. We need a good laugh from time to time. I think there's room enough for both serious discussions and just threads for a laugh. SW shouldn't turn into general games discussion board
Thread making limit and level 5 to post in the console forums and 15 in system wars.
1: Get rid of the barn animal name calling. Doesn't make sense I can't call you a ignorant fanboy, yet I can say lemming, cow, sheep which can be use in the same context...2. I want to swear. Not at people, but in general to express how strong the statments I make.3. Opposing opinions are consider trolling. I don't think Wii is next gen should not be consider as trolling. If I give m reasons why and back them up; therefore, it's a cogent argument.4. What did the math book tell the English book?
Man, I got problems...
